Chattanooga TN (WDEF) A Chattanooga nonprofit is calling on the community to help support local families by donating baby essentials to those in need.
Choices is hosting a Community Baby Shower to restock its Baby Boutique, which provides free diapers, clothing, car seats, and other necessities to families enrolled in its parenting programs.
Organizers say the drive is focused on helping parents feel prepared and supported during the early years of raising a child. Donations will help stock items for children from newborns up to toddlers.
Kelly Stultz, donor engagement officer at Choices, says the nonprofit is especially in need of larger diaper sizes and clothing as many families in the program have children beyond infancy.
“We are asking for a lot of baby supply diapers and we like to encourage larger sizes as well since we are helping parents up through age 3,” Stultz said. “So larger size diapers, larger size clothes as well — so newborn up to 3T, 4T, 5T.”
The organization says every donation helps provide relief for families facing financial challenges while ensuring children have access to basic necessities.
