CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — An 18-year-old has been arrested after fleeing police on Apison Pike on May 5, 2026.
According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), a deputy located a vehicle matching the description of a stolen vehicle.
They say the driver proceeded to accelerate rapidly and failed to stop after emergency sirens and lights were activated, initiating a vehicle pursuit.
The pursuit extended from Lee Highway to Apison Pike, where it ended after a successful spike strip deployment and PIT maneuver.
Jaden Rue, 18, was identified as the driver and found to be under the influence of marijuana.
Rue faces the following charges:
Driving Under the Influence
Evading Arrest
Reckless Driving
Theft of Property
