CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Community members gathered at Coolidge Park on Saturday for Paw Palooza, an annual event hosted by the McKamey Animal Center.
The event, often referred to as Chattanooga’s ultimate celebration of pets, featured adoptable animals, local pet related businesses, and resources ranging from training and boarding services to animal health and wellness education.
Mary Klinghard, Director of Advancement for McKamey Animal Center, said the event helps showcase animals currently looking for permanent homes while also educating the public about ways to support the shelter’s mission.
“We have tons of animals like Googie here that are available for adoption. If you’re not ready to adopt, you can volunteer at McKamey, foster, or donate. We have an Amazon wish list of items we need, and of course, we always need financial contributions to continue caring for the animals.”
Organizers said all proceeds from Paw Palooza support McKamey Animal Center’s lifesaving programs and help provide care for animals in need throughout the region.
