CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A groundbreaking took place Wednesday at Erlanger’s East Campus on Gunbarrel Road.
The new facility will feature an expanded patient tower, allowing for extra beds.
Patient rooms will be upgraded with viewscreens so that patients are kept in the know regarding their treatment plans.
The new expansion will also include cardiac labs and new radiology equipment.
Patrice Batchelor, Chief Marketing Officer at Erlanger said, “This is just the beginning. This is just a start for Erlanger. The patient’s families across East Hamilton County will walk-through new doors. They’ll walk-through into new rooms and receive exceptional care in a facility that was built just for them.”
Erlanger says this is just the first step in improving their facilities across the board. The new expansion will feature 26 new beds, new cardiology equipment, and new imaging equipment.
Erlanger says that this will act as a model for future expansions and renovations across the board.
