CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) Chattanooga turned up the volume this weekend as a spring celebration of music, community, and creativity took over Redbud Venue alongside Record Store Day 2026.
The “RSD Open House” was free and open to the public, drawing families, music lovers, and visitors for a day centered around local culture and connection.
Organizers said the event was designed to highlight the community while also giving people a chance to experience the venue in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
“We were hoping to create kind of a block party environment where people could go do their record shopping and have a free event here,” said Brent Bill, owner of Redbud Venue. “We made it really kid-friendly—yard games, a bounce house, free music—a simple way for people to get together.”
Just steps away from nearby record shops, the event blended live music, outdoor activities, and family-friendly fun, turning the space into a lively spring gathering.
For many attendees, it was more than an event—it was a chance to celebrate music and spend the day connecting with the community.
