Silverdale Baptist Church Donates $32,000 to Four Local Non-Profits

Silverdale Baptist Church raised over thirty – two thousand dollars to donate to four local nonprofits. Silverdale had asked its congregation to give a special gift during Christmas Eve to benefit their local mission partners. Those non profits included The Bethlehem Center, Chattanooga Community Kitchen, Chattanooga Rescue Mission, and Hope for the Inner City. Each non profit was presented with a check today for over eight thousand dollars. Silverdale Baptist Church says there mission exists to serve the Lord and the community.

Jens Christensen, Chattanooga Community Kitchen says, “Shutting down was never an option for us, because people we served had no where else to go so March and April, we had more people than we knew what to do with. Because of support like yours(Silverdale Baptist Church), we were able to never miss a meal.”

Tony Walliser, Lead Pastor for Silverdale Baptist Church says, “Whenever you see firsthand , the faces, the gratitude, the folks that are hurting that these organizations help out, it’s just rewarding to be apart of that.”

Silverdale Baptist Church funds local non-profits throughout the year with offerings and one hundred percent of their Oaks Coffee House profits.
