Shallowford fire spreads smoke column through East Brainerd

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — First responders were on the scene of an area fire earlier Thursday morning in Shallowford.

911 received multiple calls of a possible dumpster or car fire from 6801 Shallowford Road.

There was a large column of smoke seen throughout the East Brainerd area.

CFD reported that the call came in around 6:30 a.m.

Firefighters found a pile of PVC equipment on fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
