Historic Chattanooga Bank Eyed for Renovation as Hotel

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – The historic Chattanooga Bank building is once again on track to become a hotel. The project is estimated to cost $40 million, and is expected to be completed in 2023. While not set in stone, the project is well-regarded by some working in urban development.

River Company CEO, Emily Mack, said, “Due to the density and the attractions, the businesses that are anchored and located in downtown Chattanooga, it could absolutely be a great location for a hotel.”

If competed, the hotel would be a part of Hilton’s Tapestry label. It is expected to feature 140 rooms and a full-service experience.
