Early voting begins in Georgia’s general primary

RINGGOLD, Ga. (WDEF) – Early voting has begun for Georgia’s General Primary.

These primaries concern various local and state offices.

One location where early voting is occurring is the Catoosa County Freedom Center.

There were advocates campaigning for their candidates on Monday morning and said early voting is critical to the election process.

One such advocate, Scott Fiddler said, “To me, early voting is extremely important, because the last day to do it is May 21. And if something comes up, such as being stuck at work or you’re just unavailable, you’ve missed your chance. You’ve missed your right to vote.”

It is worth noting that four candidates at the center of an effort by the Catoosa County Republican Party to be kept off of their primary ballot are on the primary ballot after an unsuccessful legal challenge.
