CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Hall has announced that it will receive new fire trucks through a combination of local community donations, fire service fees, and grant funding provided by Hamilton County.
The volunteer fire hall has served the Chattanooga, Birchwood, Ooltewah, Georgetown and Harrison communities since 1975.
“These new trucks mean a lot to the Highway 58 team, and they represent a great investment in our community. With the residential growth we’re seeing, this helps ensure we’re fully covered and prepared to serve. Commissioner Eversole was the main person to help move the funding through the county and this wouldn’t have been possible without him. It’s a big milestone for our volunteer fire department to put $2 million worth of equipment into service.”
– Mark Hutchings, Highway 58 Fire Chief said.
The trucks will be put into service on April 16, 2026.
