CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Outdoor Festival brought the community together at the Choo Choo Gardens and along Station Street, celebrating all things outdoors in the Scenic City.
The free, family friendly event featured more than 70 vendors, along with live music and activities for all ages.
Organizers say the festival is designed to highlight local organizations that work to protect the region’s land, water, and wildlife, while also encouraging people to explore outdoor opportunities in and around Chattanooga.
Sunshine Loveless, the festival director, said the goal is to inspire attendees to try something new.
“I truly hope that anyone who experiences today walks away with a new hobby or a new way to get outside that maybe they did not know existed before they showed up,” Loveless said.
Throughout the day, families and visitors explored booths, enjoyed performances, and connected with groups dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of the area.
The event ran until 7 p.m., giving the community plenty of time to get outside and take part in the celebration.
Organizers say events like this continue to showcase why Chattanooga is known as the Scenic City, while encouraging residents to stay active and engaged with the outdoors.
