CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – DEA agents will be at a Chattanooga pharmacy all day after serving an Immediate Suspension Order.
The federal Drug Enforcement Administration has stopped A+ Pharmacy on Highway 58 from handling controlled substances.
The move follows an investigation over several months.
They won’t say what the pharmacy did yet, but say it is really bad.
“What we’ve uncovered in this investigation is nothing short of egregious,” said Special Agent in Charge Jim Scott, head of DEA’s Louisville Field Division. “The details of this case are disturbing and go well beyond regulatory infractions. When the allegations are made public, the community will be stunned.”
Pharmacy owners have 30 days to request a hearing to contest the suspension.
