CHICKAMAUGA, Ga. (WDEF) – Over the weekend in Chickamauga, the Christkindlmarkt was hosted at the Gordon Lee Mansion from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The event was filled with Christmas spirit as vendors lined each side of the grounds with local, handmade, handcrafted, and hand-drawn items.
This market is part of the larger celebration for the second annual Christkindlmarkt.
One vendor encouraged the community to continue showing up and supporting small businesses whenever events like this take place.
Brandon Smith with Bare Body and Skin Care shared a message of gratitude.
“You know, guys, if you can, the economy is down everywhere. Support local if you can. It really helps us out, it helps everybody, and we really appreciate it.”
The Christkindlmarkt will continue Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Organizers say visitors will not want to miss it.
