CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) — Foundation House Ministries’ Festival of Trees event was Thursday.
The event runs from 6 to 8pm and gives families an opportunity to celebrate the holidays stress free.
Foundation House Ministries is a nonprofit that provides housing and a recovery program for mothers.
It’s the only maternity home of its kind within a one-hundred-and-fifty-mile radius.
Guests were able to enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner and take part in both live and silent auctions, all by being surrounded by a community of support.
Jennifer Riojas is the community engagement coordinator for Foundation House Ministries.
She said “We’re doing our fifth annual festival of trees here at the old Willow Mill in Cleveland Tennessee and it’s one of our favorite nights of the year. It’s the kickoff of the Christmas season for Cleveland.”
Suzanne Burns is the founder and executive director secretary.
She added, “It’s also about giving. It’s also about sharing. It’s also about giving to the least of these, sharing with those who don’t have and that’s exactly what our ministry does. That’s exactly what we’re all about. These moms don’t have anyone but us. These babies might not exist if we weren’t here.”9-33
The event is entirely sold out and the proceeds will go to help struggling mothers in the Cleveland area.
