CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) is celebrating 130 years of the historic Incline Railway and is inviting the community to join in on the fun.
On Sunday, November 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., a family-friendly celebration will take place at the bottom station of the Incline Railway on St. Elmo Avenue.
The event will feature face painting, bounce houses, local vendors, and food trucks.
Remarks from local officials and community leaders will be held at 1 p.m., honoring the generations of riders, employees, and supporters.

Incline railway tickets will be $1.30 per person for all riders throughout the day, in honor of the 130 year anniversary.
The event is free and open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to bring family and friends to enjoy the celebration.
