EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) – The City of East Ridge kicked off one of its biggest events of the year this weekend, the annual Fall Festival at Camp Jordan Amphitheater.
The festival features more than 200 local vendors, food trucks, live music, and family-friendly activities such as pony rides, face painting, and a petting zoo.
Cameron McAllister, with the city’s Department of Economic and Community Development, said the event has become a tradition rooted in East Ridge’s centennial celebration.
“Tomorrow is something that kind of stemmed off of the city’s 100th birthday, the centennial event,” McAllister explained. “The elected officials of our city came together and thought this would be an event we should host annually, and it really has been a huge success. This year is the first year we hosted a two-day fall festival. Normally it’s Saturday only, but we wanted to be able to expand our offerings and see if we could draw more individuals. So we are here today and tomorrow, with all of the same vendors, food trucks, and free amenities both days.”
Organizers encouraged families not to worry if they missed opening day, as the festival continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration is already open for East Ridge’s upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas events.
