CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Salvation Army of Chattanooga is preparing for the holiday season with the return of its annual Angel Tree program.
In-person registration for Angel Tree will take place over two weeks at two Salvation Army locations in Chattanooga.
Families can register September 29, 2025 through October 3 at the East Lake Corps (2140 E. 28th St.) and October 6 through October 10 at the Citadel Corps (1019 N. Moore Rd.).
Registration hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
On Wednesdays, registration will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to better accommodate working families.
The Angel Tree program is available for families with children ages newborn to 12, as well as senior citizens aged 60 and older.
To apply, families must bring:
- A valid photo ID
- Birth certificates for each child
- Proof of guardianship, if applicable
- Proof of income and address
- Clothing sizes and wish lists for each child
Senior applicants will need a valid ID, proof of income, and their clothing sizes and gift preferences.
According to the Salvation Army of Chattanooga, East Lake and Citadel are the only registration sites, and no late applications will be accepted.
After completing registration, families will receive an email with details about gift distribution.
