CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) is investigating a homicide that occurred on Brainerd Road over the weekend.
At 4:02 a.m., August 17, 2025, CPD responded to the 3200 block of Brainerd Road on reports of a person shot.
Upon arrival, officers found a 29-year-old male suffering from life-threatening injuries.
He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
CPD said the preliminary investigation shows the suspect approached the victim, shot him, and then fled the scene on foot.
Police believe this was a targeted attack.
