CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Officials have now identified the three people killed by a falling tree during the storm last night.
Officials say a large tree fell across an SUV on South Moore Road just before midnight.
Fire department crews found three people dead inside the vehicle.
The occupants have been identified as:
Driver: Yuri Tomas Vicente Lopez (29)
Front Passenger: Giomara Epifania Vasquez (27)
Back Passenger: Emma Vicente (3)
Officials believe the tree came down because the ground around it was saturated by water.
Four people have now died from the storm that produced the flash flooding Tuesday night in the Chattanooga area.
The fourth was a runner who went around a barricade and was swept away in a flooded creek.
