FORT PAYNE, Al. (WDEF) — A DeKalb County man has been arrested after being accused of sexually assaulting a minor.
On June 23, 2025, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) received a case involving a juvenile from Madison County who was sexually assaulted in DeKalb County.
After investigators gathered information and conducted interviews, an arrest warrant was issued on June 25, 2025, for Gerardo Duran Dumas.
Dumas was later arrested and taken to the DeKalb County Detention Center.
DCSO says he’s being charged with First Degree Sex Abuse.
