ROME, Georgia (WDEF) – The special election in northwest Georgia arrives Tuesday.
Voters in Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Murray, Walker and Whitfield counties will pick a successor to Marjorie Taylor Greene in Congress.
There are 22 candidates in all on the ballot.
If none gets 50-percent of the vote, we will get a runoff of the top two candidates on April 7th.
The winner will only serve the rest of the year, since we’ll do it all again in November.
Voters in Dalton (city council) plus Walker and Dade counties (State Senate Dist 53) will also have a second race on the ballot.
The polls are open from seven to seven.
And we’ll have live reports on the voting here on WDEF News 12.
