ROSSVILLE, Ga. (WDEF) – On Saturday, a house fire damaged the home of a local family in Rossville, Georgia.
Former residents say the fire claimed not only physical and irreplaceable items but also the lives of several pets.
One resident says while the loss affects her husband and children, it has also impacted their ability to provide care for three disabled individuals who were living in the home.
Tonya Ivester, a former resident, says the situation has been devastating for the entire household.
“I have three disabled people in my home and two kids. I just want to provide them with something that feels normal because this is not normal. Anyone who goes through something like this, I am so sorry.”
A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family secure temporary housing as they work to recover from the fire.
