GEORGIA — March 6, 2026 marks one year since Timothy McSears vanished from his residence on McSears Drive in Lafayette, Georgia.
Timothy McSears was reported missing on March 8, 2025, after he was last seen at his residence on March 6, 2025.
What began as a routine missing person’s report, quickly evolved into a large-scale and ongoing investigation, the Walker County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) says.
They say over the last year, the Walker County Sheriff’s Office has pursued hundreds of leads, conducted numerous interviews, and organized extensive land searches across Walker County and surrounding areas.
Despite these efforts, McSears has not been found.
“For Timothy McSears’ family, the passing of a year brings renewed heartache. Anniversaries often reopen wounds for families of the missing—marking not only the passage of time but also the absence of closure. Loved ones continue to hold out hope that answers will come and are urging anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to step forward.”
