SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, Tenn. (WDEF) – Saturday around 4:30 PM, the Chattanooga Fire Department (CFD) and Walden’s Ridge Fire responded to the park’s Bullwinkle Trail where a mountain biker hit a tree, leaving him with injuries.
According to CFD, an ATV response was requested from the bottom of the trail.
Firefighters tended to the biker’s wounds and worked to control bleeding, then brought him out of the woods to a waiting ambulance.
He then was transported to the hospital for further treatment of his injuries.
They confirmed the rescue took an hour and a half.
