CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – To close out Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a candlelight service will honor survivors and memorialize victims who lost their lives to domestic violence.
The Family Justice Center says the event will shine a light on strength, survival, and remembrance in Chattanooga.
Regina McDevitt, Executive Director of the Chattanooga Family Justice Center, said, “It is important to recognize the courage it takes to survive and to remember those who have lost their lives because of domestic violence. We encourage everyone to come because everyone knows someone.”
The vigil will take place on the lawn of the Hamilton County Courthouse on October 30, beginning at 6 p.m.
