October marks LGBTQ+ History Month, and Chattanooga kicked it off in style today. Downtown was alive with color, music, and celebration as the city hosted its annual Pride Parade and Festival.
Kristina Siskole, crowned Mx. Chattanooga Pride 2025, encouraged everyone to embrace themselves. “Love yourself — that’s what I always say,” Siskole shared. “Tell people to love themselves, be confident, and happy with who you are.”
The festival brought together families, friends, and allies, filling Ross’s landing with live music, food, and community resources.
Elle Quesenberry, President of Chattanooga Pride, highlighted the event’s purpose. “Chattanooga is all about celebrating community, love, unity, and just being your authentic self while having a great time,” she said.
This year marks the festival’s 25th anniversary, making it a longstanding tradition in the city. “What we’d like for people to do today is just have fun in a safe space and be their full, true selves,” Quesenberry added.
Beyond celebration, the festival also aims to challenge stereotypes and showcase the importance of the LGBTQ+ community. “The truth is our LGBTQ+ community is a huge cornerstone of our town and county,” Quesenberry said. “This festival allows us to come together, celebrate, and provide resources for those who might not be in the community or just want to learn more.”
