HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to the Harbor Lights Marina on Friday morning in an attempt to locate fugitives Jessica Shaw and Justin Brakefield.
Both suspects were found hiding in a boat when HCSO deputies arrived.
A perimeter was established after the fugitives refused to follow commands.
Eventually, the two fugitives surrendered to the deputies.
Shaw was arrested and is set to be extradited to Cherokee County, Ala. for an outstanding warrant.
Brakefield had multiple outstanding warrants including:
- Failure to Appear
- Auto Theft
- Felony Theft of Property
He also faces additional charges including:
- Tampering with Evidence
- Resisting Arrest
- Felony Possession of Methamphetamine
During the incident, HCSO deputies had located multiple illegal substances including:
- 12 gram of fentanyl
- 10 grams of methamphetamine
- 9 grams of THC
