ALTAMONT, Tenn. (WDEF) — On October 1st, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) responded to a residence in Altamont where homemade pipe bombs were suspected to be.
Upon arriving, the GCSO had found the pipe bombs and cleared area for safety.
The Chattanooga Police Bomb Squad were contacted and responded, safely disposing of the devices using Federal Bureau of Investigation and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives protocols.
