DUNLAP, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Dunlap Fire Department (DFD) responded to a paragliding accident Thursday evening.
At 5:17 p.m. CST, DFD responded to the accident on Lewis Chapel Mountain off of Window Rock Road.
The patient was 40 feet over the side of the mountain with a potential broken ankle.
According to the DFD, firefighters set up a haul system to assist the patient.
The patient was placed into a basket and brought to the top of the overhang.
EMS responded to the scene to check on the patient, however the patient chose to go receive medical attention via their personal vehicle.
