Shateria Smith and Jocelyn Loza join News 12’s Amelia Greer as they get ready to host an empowering event for women across the region this October.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Girls Inc. has inspired generations of women since the 60s, including Shateria Smith, so she’s excited to be giving back to the organization and inspire future generations of girls in this inclusive event featuring black-owned businesses.
‘brown girls can:’ is open to everyone, regardless of race or age- offering over 20 diverse experiences from hiking to painting to business workshops.
For the princesses of all ages, they will be hosting a Princess & The Frog Dinner and Movie experience.
A portion of the proceeds from the events will go to Girls Inc. of Chattanooga to continue giving back to the girls and women in our community.
