CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Downtown Chattanooga welcomed a brand-new community tradition today as Station Street hosted the inaugural September Fest.
The all-day festival brought together food, music, local businesses, and families for a celebration in the heart of the Southside district.
Running from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., SeptemberFest filled the historic street beside the Chattanooga Choo-Choo with more than 50 craft, artisan, and commercial vendors, as well as a lineup of food trucks offering a wide range of options.
From handmade art to regional favorites, visitors spent the day browsing booths and sampling food while enjoying the festival atmosphere.
Live performances added to the energy throughout the day.
Musicians, dancers, and cultural groups took to the stage, giving attendees a variety of entertainment choices.
For younger visitors, the festival included a family zone with games and a petting zoo, making the event accessible and engaging for all ages.
This marks the first year of September Fest in Chattanooga.
The event was produced by Touch the Sky Events & Promotions and designed as a rain-or-shine festival.
While morning showers greeted early arrivals, activities continued as scheduled, and crowds steadily grew into the afternoon.
Organizers positioned September Fest as an opportunity to highlight Chattanooga’s thriving arts, food, and small business community while creating a new late summer gathering for the city.
