CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The veteran voice of the Chattanooga Lookouts will be celebrating the end of an era Sunday afternoon.
Larry Ward is scheduled to throw the last first pitch at AT&T Field as the Lookouts close out their regular season on Sept. 7.
Ward has been an iconic voice in Chattanooga for years now.
He spent 26 seasons with the UTC Mocs before retiring from that position in 2024.
He’s served as the voice of the Chattanooga Lookouts since 1989.
With his rich history in sports broadcasting, it’s only fitting he gets to end the AT&T Field era.
