CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — September is Hunger Action Month, and organizations across the community are stepping up.
The YMCA says they want to make an impact in the community.
You can help by donating food items to your local Y.
Paula Irwin, Executive director of James A Henry YMCA told us, “Here at the YMCA we’re currently packing meals for our childhood food program, and that is just one piece of the big picture of all the ways that YMCA and our community work together to address hunger especially for children across our community.”
You can volunteer to pack meals yourself by checking out the YMCAs website, YMCAChattanooga.org.
