HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is investigating a fatal crash off of Middle Valley Road.
On August 28, 2025, at 2:45 p.m., HCSO deputies responded to the 7000 block of Middle Valley Road for reports of a single-vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, deputes located the driver, later identified as Oral David Helton, unresponsive and began performing live-saving measures.
According to the HCSO, despite the deputies efforts, Helton was pronounced dead on scene.
The preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle drifted off the road and down a steep embankment.
This caused the vehicle to roll over.
