CHATTANOOGA, Tenn (WDEF) — General Sessions Judge Victoria Smith spoke before members of the Scenic City Women’s Network today.
Judge Smith shared her personal story about overcoming hardship with her husband.
Andrew Smith was badly injured in an IED attack in Afghanistan.
She spoke before the group at The Walden Club on Chestnut Street.
Judge Smith shared their faith journey and how this hardship brought them closer together.
Judge Victoria “Tori” Smith told us, “So today I spoke on my journey. I’m a Christian and so my husband and I have a story that some people know about, but I got to share about that today and that was a majority of the story, just talking about what God has done in our life and I love sharing it.”
After her husband recovered, Judge Smith pursued a career in law, eventually becoming a public defender, and then Hamilton County General Sessions Judge.
