Caitlin Stanley, the Senior Director of Blood Assurance, reminds everyone that one donation of blood can save up to three lives. They’re in need of donations and are offering gift cards to those who donate in August.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – While blood donations are always in demand, there are times when the need for donations increases, especially around Labor Day.
Blood Assurance needs at least 540 donations a day through the service area to maintain a solid supply.
Blood Assurance is accpeting blood, platelets, and plasm donations through Labor Day. Multiple blood drives will be taking place this weekend.
They are also running a special to give gift cards to donors who donate this month.
Anyone that is 16, with parent permission, and older can donate blood any day. One donation can save up to three lives.
