FORT PAYNE, Al. (WDEF) — A motorcyclist died after a multi-vehicle crash in Fort Payne early Tuesday morning.
At 4:45 a.m., August 26, 2025, officers with the Fort Payne Police Department (FPPD) responded to the accident in the area of Greenhill Boulevard and Smith Gap Road.
Upon arrival, officers located a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle involved in a crash.
According to the FPPD, the motorcyclist, later identified as 26-year-old Juan Jose Mendoza of Valley Head, was pronounced dead on scene.
The accident is currently under investigation.
There has been no official word on the condition of those inside the passenger vehicle.
