DEKALB COUNTY, Al. (WDEF) — A woman pleaded guilty today to shoving another woman off a cliff into Little River Canyon.
Jessie Eden Kelly pleaded to one count of murder.
The judge gave her a 40 year prison sentence.
Mary Elizabeth Isbell had been reported missing in Hartselle, Alabama since 2021.
Isbell’s body was later found in the park in the summer of 2023.
Investigators say Kelly kidnapped Isbell and forced her over the bluff.
However, no motive for the murder was given, it was just described as “inhuman and brutal.”
