CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Years after a devastating crash nearly claimed his life, Jeremy Ray Kell is turning his pain into purpose.
In May of 1996, at age 20, Kell was critically injured when his car left Highway 56 near the DeKalb-Warren County line, flipping several times before coming to rest.
He was airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga with severe head, leg, and arm injuries, and doctors placed him in the Trauma ICU, where his recovery began.
Today, Kell says he feels called to return to Erlanger, not as a patient, but as a volunteer.
His goal is to help others facing medical emergencies, offering support and encouragement to families walking the same difficult road he once did.
