HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WDEF) – The preliminary assessments are in, and according to TEMA, Hamilton County did *not* meet the threshold to qualify for federal disaster assistance.
Ten days ago, historic flash flooding left parts of the Tennessee Valley underwater.
Brainerd, East Brainerd and East Ridge were hit especially hard.
About 300 structures were damaged.
That list includes homes, businesses and even churches.
As damage reports continue to come in, neighbors are encouraged to reach out to local volunteer and nonprofit organizations.
