ATHENS, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Athens Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that happened at approximately 7:00 P.M. Wednesday on Tell Street.
“With sensitivity to this case, details are currently limited,” according to the Athens Police Department.
Tennessee Highway Patrol and the McMinn County Sheriff’s Department is assisting with the investigation.
News 12 will provide an update on the investigation once more information is released on Thursday morning.
As of 11 P.M. Wednesday, authorities are looking for Carlos Quintana who is a person of interest in the shooting.
Authorities say he is considered to be armed and dangerous. He may be traveling on foot.
