CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Authorities have made an arrest in connection to a double homicide that occurred in 2020.
On December 1, 2020, at 2:40 a.m., officers with the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) responded to a person shot call in the 1700 block of South Kelly Street.
Upon arrival, officers found a 61-year-old man suffering from a life threatening gunshot wound.
He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
The same day, at 6:10 p.m., CPD officers responded to the 1700 block of South Willow Street on a person shot call.
Upon arrival, officers found a 66-year-old female, also suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
According to CPD, EMS arrived on scene and pronounced her deceased.
On July 29, 2025, CPD’s Fugitive Unit, the Smoky Mountain Fugitive Task Force, the TBI, and U.S. Marshals Service, arrested 30-year-old Khavell Mailik Williams.
Williams is being charged with two counts of First Degree Murder in connection to these homicides.
