EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) — We have the final chapter in the case of the man caught carrying young children in a U-Haul trailer.
Brandon Blount was pulled over on I-75 back in March of 2025.
Police found the children ranging from four to 12-years-old in the back of the van with no ventilation.
Blount claimed he was moving them from Las Vegas to East Ridge.
Prosecutors said investigators originally suspected he may have been human trafficking.
However, they concluded it was just a bad parenting decision.
Blount pleaded guilty Thursday, July 24, 2025 to a pair of reckless endangerment counts and received a suspended sentence.
