HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A grand jury has dramatically increased the charges that came from a confrontation in Harrison during the snow in January.
A family claims Benjamin Cook fired shots at them when they were sledding down a hill on Stoney River Drive.
Cook didn’t hit anyone, but faced a gun charge for each of the family members.
However, when the grand jury met on his case last week, they upped the charges to attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault and child abuse.
Cook now faces a total of 25 counts.
At the time, Cook claimed the family of four were on his property, but they were not.
