WALKER COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Walker County woman will be serving time after authorities seized over 40 ounces of methamphetamine in Northwest Georgia.
On November 4, 2024, Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force agents organized a controlled purchase from suspect Abigail Manis.
Before the transaction, agents intercepted Manis and recovered three plastic bags containing over 40 ounces of methamphetamine.
Manis was arrested and charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine and Possession with Intent to Distribute.
The Lookout Mountain District Attorney’s office said she later pled guilty to both charges.
She was sentenced to 20 years, with the first 10 to be served behind bars.
“Bring meth to Walker County, and you won’t leave with your freedom. She thought she was making a sale — instead, she bought herself a decade behind bars.”
