WALKER COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) — A Walker County woman has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after selling 44 grams of methamphetamine.
On September 3, 2024, the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit (LMJC) Drug Task Force (DTF) received information from a confidential informant that a Sara Carroll was actively dealing methamphetamine.
The DTF arranged a controlled buy, and Carroll showed up to the meeting location with 1.5 ounces or 44 grams of methamphetamine.
The drugs were seized and Carroll was taken into custody.
She was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine and Possession with Intent to Distribute.
Carrol pled guilty to both charges on May 1, 2025.
She was sentenced to 20 years, with the first 10 to be served in prison.
According to the LMJC, upon her release, Carroll is banished from the LMJC for the duration of her probation.
“When you sell meth in this circuit, you’re going to prison. No breaks, no second chances. We’re not waiting for overdoses and funerals — if you’re selling meth here, we’re coming after you. You make the sale, you do the time.”
