CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Chattanooga Parking Authority (CPA) has launched a new Weekend Parking Pass to make visiting downtown easier and more affordable.
For an introductory rate of $25, the pass offers unlimited access to all CPA-managed parking, including paid street spots, public lots, and both Shuttle Park Northshore and North garages.
The pass is valid from Friday at 6 p.m. through Monday at 6 a.m.
“Whether you’re visiting Chattanooga for a family vacation, competing in triathlons, attending softball tournaments, or riding the historic Incline Railway, this pass makes your weekend easy and affordable. We’re removing the hassle so visitors can focus on enjoying everything downtown Chattanooga has to offer.”
-Charles D. Frazier, Chief Executive Officer at Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA)
The pass is designed for locals and out-of-town guests attending:
- Sporting events and tournaments that draw regional competitors
- Concerts and outdoor performances
- Extended visits to the Tennessee Aquarium, Creative Discovery Museum, and Hunter Museum, Incline Railway, Rock City, etc.
- Seasonal festivals and community events
- Wedding and corporate celebrations
- Riverfront activities and downtown shopping
According to CARTA, business owners have long cited parking costs as a challenge for visitors, particularly families planning all-day or weekend trips.
To purchase the weekend parking pass, head to chattanoogaparking.org.
After the pass has been purchased, you can manage your parking through the ParkMobile app.
The new pass offers a simple and cost-effective solution, helping drive more traffic to local shops, restaurants, and events.
With this initiative, CARTA and CPA hope to make downtown Chattanooga a more accessible and inviting place for everyone.
