CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The trial for a man accused of shooting and killing two people in Chattanooga on Labor Day in 2016 began this morning.
Defense attorneys and prosecutors first gave their opening arguments.
Prosecutors say Stephen Mobley killed Jasmine Hines and Rashaud Taylor because he felt disrespected.
Defense attorneys say there is more to the story.
This morning a police officer who responded to the scene described what he saw.
The surviving victim is testifying.
She was telling the jury about her interactions with Mobley right before the shooting.
